Practice :Wednesday, March 16, 2005

 

Today, hopefully we should meet out at track at 3pm.  Warm up until 3:30, Speed Building until 4pm, Event work from 4 to 5.

 

  • Team Meeting at the track – 3pm sharp
  • Team Warm-Up – Active / static stretch at end of practice       

 

Sprinters/Jumpers/Hurdlers – (Including Long Sprints)

Depending on condition of field/track

 

Speed Building – Accelerations

Ins/Outs

Stride Checks

Hurdle/Cone Hops

Etc.

 

Plyo boxes??? – Overspeed?? (If package comes in)

 

Then –

 

Sprinters – Block work / Weight Room if track is a mess.

Jumpers – Approach Runs / 6 step check mark, 12-14 step check mark, full 16-18 step mark.  Perhaps we do inside.  – Then intro to final 4 steps.

Hurdlers – Hurdle drills and then Hurdle work.

 

 

Middle Distance

30 to 40 min AT run.

 
Throwers

With sprinters for speed building

 

Shot put drills – Disc circle work. – Full throws if grass is cleared of snow or Weight Room
